Background

Scott "Big Hulk" Burdett is a guitarist/lyricist/vocalist from the small town of Franklin, Louisiana.  Growing up in southern Louisiana, he has developed a multi-genre style that is evident from his lyrics to his guitar playing.  His musical influences range from Nas to Stevie Ray Vaughan.  As a rapper, he has appeared on several tracks with other Louisiana artists, as well as opened up for Louisiana greats like Mannie Fresh and HD4President.  As a guitarist, he has graced the stage at events such as the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival, Cajun Heartland State Fair, Tune Out Cancer Music Festival, and many more - including opening for national recording act Rehab.  Although he has spent most of his musical career as a guitarist, he is now at a point where he is also artistically ready to put out his own music.

The Man Outside of Music

When he isn't shredding solos or wrecking microphones, Big Hulk is simply Scott Burdett, or Coach Burdett, more commonly.  He is in his 11th year teaching, currently employed as a coach at Centerville High School, just outside of his hometown of Franklin.  His first 8 years were spent at Franklin Jr. High, where he coached football and basketball, and also served as the baseball coach at Franklin Sr. High during that time.  He ended up going to Centerville in 2022 after a small stint at Lafayette High School and Morgan City Junior High.  He is also an active member of the Louisiana Bayou Hurricanes semi pro football orgainzation in Lafayette, as well as a high level pool player in the Acadiana APA League.  When not working or performing, he enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as going listen to other local musicians perform.
